Hibiscus (Hibiscus Sabdariffa, if you’re feeling tea-chnical) is an immunity boosting herb that can help cleanse & support your liver, lower your blood pressure (naturally) and soothe UTIs.

What are the side effects of drinking Hibiscus tea?


Hibiscus tea can cause a drop in blood pressure and should be avoided if taking blood pressure medication.

Hibiscus tea can also decrease your blood sugar levels and shouldn’t be used without medical supervision if you’re taking diabetes medication.

As always, use only as directed and consult with your doctor before use with other medication (especially diuretics). Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

When is the best time to drink Hibiscus tea?


Before bedtime (to facilitate peaceful slumber and awaken energized) or in the morning (to recover quickly and revitalize) — either way, you'll be invigorated and enthusiastic to hit the gym or breakfast.

Sipping it aids in regulating the sleep-wake cycle and ensuring a restful night of shut-eye.

Does Hibiscus tea make you sleepy?
